I was a prop maker and set builder for 10 years in London, working in theatre, advertising, TV production and in sculpture. In 1999 I decided to transfer to furniture making because I wanted to make pieces of lasting beauty that can be used for hundreds of years.

Over the last seven years I have made bookcases, staircases, kitchens, secret doorways, utility rooms, washbasin stands, windows, doors, mantelpieces, tables, stools, balconies, dressing screens, mixing desks, coffee tables and probably many other things that I have forgotten.

I like to work with people to help realise their ideas in the most practical, aesthetic and inexpensive way. I believe that with simple, creative design, high quality, custom made furniture is affordable for most people.

The environmental impact of my work is very important to me. I will only use British hardwoods from a sustainable source unless I can find timber that has been reclaimed from another use. The main benefit to my furniture is that it will be functional and beautiful not only for the life of the customer but for their children, grandchildren and generations to come.

The gallery only contains a small sample of my work, if you would like to see more please call me to arrange an appointment at the workshop.
